MAKE-UP CARE TIPS

I believe that every woman is beautiful in every way. Each of us has a specific quality and beauty; it is just a matter of highlighting that plus factor and bringing it out for the world to notice. All it takes is some effort and interest, to create a beautiful presence. Learn how to care for your face and look great with these make up care tips.

1.       Cosmetics are meant for faces, not for hands so always make sure you test the make up on your face – this is the only way you can tell if the shade suits you or not.

2.      Foundation can double as concealer if your under-eye circles are not too dark. Apply two layers of foundation on circles instead of one.

3.      Mascara can also be used to groom eyebrows. Wipe off excess mascara from wand on a tissue and then sweep unto eyebrows following directions of hair growth.

4.      If you’ve run out of blush or left it at home, dab a few dots of pink or red lipstick on your cheeks and blend with your fingers for an instant glow! You can also use colored lip gloss for a lighter sheen.

5.      When using eyeliner, don’t line the entire eye. It will look heavy and make your eyes seem smaller.

6.      Perfectly shaped and groomed eyebrows frame a face but be conservative when plucking brows because it can take up to eight weeks for hair to grow back!

7.      If your eyelashes are straight, use an eyelash curler. Curl looking downwards. Never curl lashes after mascara has been applied. The lashes will stick to the curler and be painful to remove.

8.      To avoid getting lipstick on your teeth, stick your forefinger into your mouth. Close lips around it and pull finger out. Any excess lipstick will be instantly removed.

9.      To make color last longer, apply lipstick, blot with tissue or sheer dusting of loose powder and then reapply.

10.   When using lipliner, fill in entire lips. Pencils are drier and last longer than lipstick so if you only outline the lips, all you’ll have left after an hour or so is the line.
